Teachers play the role of student, completing activities and observing the presenter’s methods and
strategies
25 minutes: Activity Discussion: connection to CT
pillars and standards
5 minutes: Activity #2 introduction and review of
learning objective
45 minutes: CS Unplugged Activity #2 - Preparation
(grade level appropriate)
In
pairs, teachers digest and work through a new lesson. They talk through
presenting a part of the lesson as well as addressing
the standards and computational thinking pillars
that the lesson relates to.
25 minutes: Activity Discussion: connection to CT
pillars and standards
5 minutes: Activity #3 introduction and review of
learning objective
60 minutes: CS Unplugged Activity #3 - Presentation

Partner pairs present the lesson that they spent time preparing during the second portion of the
workshop.
20 minutes: Activity discussion: connection to CT
pillars and standards (10 minutes between each presentation
75 minutes: Coding Activity
K-2nd grades: hour of code that helps students understand the relationship between numbers and
quantities.
3rd-4th grade: hour of code allowing students to explore the diversity of life.
5th-6th grade: hour of code that investigates fractions and multiplication.
